Warriors out for upset on Tuesday night at Stevenson

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - With one game left to its regular season, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will have a tough task as it tries to lock up its third straight Commonwealth Conference Tournament berth when it heads to first-place Stevenson on Tuesday night, Feb. 17.

The Warriors (15-9 overall, 7-8 Commonwealth) fell to Lebanon Valley, 53-49, on Saturday, Feb. 14, a loss that leaves the team a half-game out of the final tournament slot heading into the showdown with Stevenson (20-2 overall, 14-0 Commonwealth), meaning a win might be needed to reach the postseason.

The Mustangs are coming off an 85-58 win over Hood on Saturday, Feb. 14. Sophomore Sara Tarbert, a transfer from UMBC, led the team with 19 points.

Warrior Notes

• Sophomore Nicole Calella needs one assist to become the 11th player in school history to dish out 90 in a season.

• Junior Olivia Manges needs one more 3-pointer made to tie Jennifer Shuler (1997-98)for seventh in school history with 38.

• Manges is four 3-pointers shy of becoming the ninth player in school history to hit 90 in a career.

• The Warriors have allowed a school-record 57.9 points per game, a half-point less than the school-record of 58.4 set in 1991-92.
