WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - In a tie for fifth place in the Commonwealth Conference with three games remaining, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will face off with Arcadia University in a critical conference clash on Wednesday, Feb. 10, in Lamade Gym.
The Warriors (14-8 overall, 6-7 Commonwealth) have won four of their last six games to move into a tie for the fifth and final conference playoff spot with Lebanon Valley, who Lycoming will face on Saturday.
The Knights (11-10 overall, 7-5 Commonwealth), meanwhile, have won four of their last five games and head into the final four games of the season with a 1.5 lead over the Warriors and Flying Dutchmen, but will wrap up the year by facing Lycoming, second-place Albright and third-place Messiah.
Warrior Notes• The Warriors need a win to reach 15 wins for the first time since 2008-09 and the 12th time in program history.
• Through 22 games, the Warriors' scoring defense average of 57.7 points per game is the best in school history, seven-tenths better than the 58.4 average of the 1991-92 team.
