WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - After a physical win over Gordon College on Saturday, the Lycoming College men's basketball team will get back onto the floor on Sunday, Dec. 13, when it hosts crosstown rival Penn College at Lamade Gym.
The Warriors (6-2 overall) shot 43 percent from the floor and scored 40 points in the paint in the win over Gordon College. Both sophomore
Alex Newbold and freshman
T.J. Duckett led the team with 17 points each, while junior
Nykolas King added 15 points and 11 rebounds for his first double-double of the season.
The Wildcats (2-5 overall) fell to Gordon, 84-78, on Friday, Dec. 11. Junior Marquis Delgado led the team with 30 points, six assists and four steals.
Warrior Notes• Head coach
Guy Rancourt won his 175th career game against Gordon. Rancourt had 55 wins in four years at John Jay and has 120 in eight years at Lycoming.
• The Warriors lead the MAC Commonwealth in scoring margin (9.3), rebounding (45.0), offensive rebounds (16.4), rebounding margin (7.0), and steals (10.8).

Nykolas King posted his fifth career double-double against Gordon. He had four as a sophomore.
• King is tied for the league lead with 7.3 rebounds per game.

Alex Newbold needs one more steal to reach 75 in his career. He has a steal in all nine games this year.
• The Warriors are averaging 18.0 offensive rebounds over the last five games. Newbold is leading the team with 3.4 rebounds on the offensive end over that time.
