WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - With two tough defeats in the rearview mirror, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will open its MAC Commonwealth season on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Lamade Gym against Alvernia University.
The Warriors (3-3 overall, 0-0 MAC Commonwealth) saw fourth-quarter rallies against Misericordia and Susquehanna come up just short, but enter the game against Alvernia with the MAC Commonwealth's top turnover margin (4.67) and free throw percentage (.752).
The Crusaders (3-2 overall, 0-0 MAC Commonwealth) fell to Gwynedd Mercy, 67-59, on Monday, Nov. 30. Junior Jenna Wolff led the team with a career-high 24 points.
Warrior Notes• The Warriors hit 23 free throws at Susquehanna, the most for the team since hitting 23 in a 63-47 win over Stevenson on Feb. 2, 2013.

Nicole Calella became the ninth player in school history to post 200 assists in a career with her second of four at Susquehanna.

Olivia Manges needs to hit three more 3-pointers to tie Jen Holt (1995-98) for eighth in school history with 96 in her career.
• Calella is three steals shy of becoming the 25th player in school history to post 100 thefts in a career and Manges is six swipes from the milestone.
• Two Warriors are in the top five in the MAC Commonwealth in free throw percentage with Calella second at 84 percent and sophomore
