Warriors look to get back on track in road trip to Arcadia

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - With a chance to move up at least one slot in the Commonwealth Conference standings with a win, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will head to Arcadia on Saturday, Jan. 10, for an important mid-season conference matchup.

The Warriors (9-4 overall, 2-3 Commonwealth) are looking to stop a three-game skid after Albright posted a 61-54 win on Wednesday, Jan. 7. Senior Ali Derr led the team with 12 points and four rebounds and junior Chelsea Henderson added 11 points.

The Knights (6-6 overall, 2-2 Commonwealth) have been idle since Jan. 5, when they fell to third-ranked Amherst, 74-50. Junior Addy Crenny led the team with 15 points and 14 rebounds.

Warrior Notes
• With a win, the Warriors can reach 10 wins at the earliest point in a season in program history, besting the 2008-09 team that reached the mark on Jan. 17.

• Senior Ali Derr became the 27th player in school history to reach 600 points in a career with her second of 12 points against Albright.

• Derr is also 12 rebounds shy of becoming the 19th player in school history to reach 400 in a career.

• With 144 career steals, senior Janelle Ziminski is four shy of eighth in school history, where Amy Bauman (1989-93) sits with 148.

• Ziminski is three assists shy  of becoming the 32nd player in school history to reach 100 in a career.

• Junior Chelsea Henderson needs seven points to reach 300 in her career and sophomore Nicole Calella is 17 points from the mark.

• The Warriors are second in the Commonwealth with a +6.77 turnover margin.
