Warriors head to Messiah looking for first season sweep since 1990

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - After a key win over Alvernia that put the Lycoming College women's basketball team alone in fifth place in the Commonwealth Conference, the team heads to Messiah College looking for its first season sweep in 25 years if it can pull off an upset at Brubaker Auditorium on Wednesday, Jan. 28.

The Warriors (12-6 overall, 4-5 Commonwealth) are coming off a 75-69 win over the Crusaders, as the team enjoyed one of its best long-range shooting nights of the season, hitting eight 3-pointers, led by six from junior Olivia Manges.

The Falcons (10-8 overall, 6-3 Commonwealth) dispatched rival Lebanon Valley, 61-53, in their last outing. Freshman Kaitlyn Hoff led the team with 13 points.
