WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - With a new year also comes the heart of the Commonwealth Conference schedule for the Lycoming College men's basketball team, as it will start the meat of its conference schedule against another early season frontrunner in Widener University on Saturday, Jan. 3 at Lamade Gym.
The Warriors (6-5 overall, 2-1 Commonwealth) opened the conference slate with wins over Alvernia and Messiah before a narrow two-point loss to Hood in their last conference outing on Dec. 6.
The Pride (9-3 overall, 2-1 Commonwealth) enjoyed a seven-game winning streak earlier this season, which included conference wins over Albright and Messiah. The team's streak ended with a 73-65 loss to Stevenson in their last league outing.
Warrior Notes• The Warriors and Pride have split their regular-season meetings each of the last three years.
• Widener leads the Commonwealth Conference with a .391 field goal percentage defense, while Lycoming is second at .415.

Patrick Dougher needs one 3-pointer to become the 12th player in school history to post 150 in a career.

Malcolm Covington reached 900 points in his collegiate career with his 16th of 20 against Susquehanna. He scored 647 in two years at SUNY Orange.
• Covington leads the conference with a 2.1 assist-turnover ratio and he is fourth in the league in assists (4.3).
