WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - With three straight wins under its belt, the Lycoming College men's basketball team will head to second-place Lebanon Valley looking to make a statement as the first half of the Commonwealth Conference begins to wrap up on Wednesday, Jan. 14.
The Warriors (9-5 overall, 5-1 Commonwealth) took a half-game lead in the conference standings with a 72-60 win over Arcadia on Jan. 10, with sophomore
Nykolas King leading the way with 19 points and seven rebounds. Lycoming led the game for more than 36 minutes and finished shooting 47 percent (23-of-49) from the floor.
The Flying Dutchmen (10-4 overall, 4-1 Commonwealth) are coming off a 66-65 win over Widener on Jan. 7.
Warrior Notes• Lycoming, first in the Commonwealth Conference, was predicted to finish seventh in the preseason coaches' poll, while Lebanon Valley, a half-game behind the Warriors, was predicted to finish ninth.
