Women's ResultsDOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Three Lycoming College cross country runners kicked off the 2014 campaign by earning medals to lead the team at the Delaware Valley Invitational on Saturday afternoon, Aug. 30. Sophomore
Sarah Donovan (Bergen, N.Y./Byron-Bergen) and junior
Lindsay Decker (Shapleigh, Maine/Massabesic) finished in the top 10 in the women's release to help the team finish fourth and freshman
Sean Hastings (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy) finished in the top 10 in his first race to help the men to a third-place finish.

Donovan notched a time of 25:34.80 to finish fifth, as set a career-best in the first race of the season. She ran the Delaware Valley course nearly 3:30 better than her freshmen year. Decker was close behind, notching a time of 26:09.04 to finish eighth, more than five minutes better than her first year with the program.

Hastings, meanwhile, was one of four Warriors to notch a time under 30 minutes on the 8K course, finishing in 28:18.85 to take 10
th and officially usher in a new era for the team. In total, 13 runners posted career-best times, as the women took fourth in a 10-team field and the men took third in a six-team field.

For the women, junior
Rachel Salmon (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) notched a time of 27:50.78 to take 28
th place, dropping her best time at Delaware Valley by more than two and a half minutes. Sophomore
Victoria Wilson (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland) knocked four minutes off her best time at Delaware Valley, finishing 45
th with a time of 29:37.45. Rounding out the top six for the team, freshman
Sarah Toth (North Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial) took 35
th with a time of 29:01.56 and sophomore
Alysha Ardell (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area) finished 40
th in 29:26.14.

Jacob Miller (Cooperstown, N.Y./Cooperstown Central) finished in 13
th place after dropping nearly five minutes off his best time at Delaware Valley and a minute off his previous best time of 30:08 set at the 2013 NCAA Regionals, as he notched a time of 29:08.75. Freshman
James Hamm (Turbotville, Pa./Warrior Run) was close behind, finishing 16
th with a time of 29:09.95 in his first collegiate race and senior
T.J. Guminski (Ambler, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) took 19
th in his first race, posting a time of 29:40.73.

Joseph Ingrum (Lodi, Calif./Lodi) finished in 27
th with a time of 30:43.14. Junior
Peter Rittenhouse (Green Lane, Pa./Quakertown Community) also notched a solid opening meet time, notching a 30:45.31 to finish 28
th, as he dropped a minute and a half off his previous best time at Delaware Valley.

Dan Yoder (Montoursville, Pa./Home-schooled) took 38
th with a time of 32:20.59 and sophomore
John Woodburn (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) finished 41
st with a time of 32:28.05, bettering his previous best time by more than half a minute.
