WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Already with a win against a team that was in first place in the league and with another win that ended a 10-game skid against an opponent, the Lycoming College women's basketball team is loaded with confidence heading into a huge Commonwealth Conference matchup with Messiah on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Dutch Burch Court at Lamade Gym.
The Warriors (9-9 overall, 6-6 Commonwealth) have begun to turn heads in the league, with a win over first-place Stevenson and the team's first win over Widener since 2009, both coming in the last three weeks.
Messiah (13-6 overall, 9-3 Commonwealth) continues to be one of the league powers, as it enters the last six games of the year in a four-way tie for first with Elizabethtown, Lebanon Valley and Stevenson.
