Warriors out to move one step closer to playoff spot in must-win at Albright

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - It feels like deja vu. In 2013, the Lycoming College women's basketball team met Albright College with two games remaining in the season looking to clinch a playoff spot and this year, the Warriors and Lions enter the final week of the season in almost the same exact spot, as both teams look to keep their playoff hopes alive on Tuesday night, Feb. 18, in a key Commonwealth Conference showdown.

The Warriors (11-11 overall, 8-8 Commonwealth) have won four of the last six games to enter the showdown with the Lions (13-10 overall, 7-9 Commonwealth) as one of the hottest teams in the conference. The Lions have won two of their last six and sit one game out of the fifth and final playoff spot, needing to win both of their last two games to have a shot at clinching a playoff berth.

Warrior Notes
• The last time the Warriors made the playoffs in back-to-back years was in 1997-98.

• With a win, the Warriors would secure their first .500 conference season since the team went 7-7 in the Freedom Conference in 2003-04.

• With 724 career boards, senior Julia Antonelli needs 32 more rebounds to pass Lyndy LeVan (1999-03) for second on the all-time list.

• With 1,131 career points Antonelli needs 17  points to surpass Andrea Cooper (2005-09) for sixth on the school's all-time scoring list.

• Antonelli is the only player in the Commonwealth Conference in the top 10 in the league in points (14.6), rebounds (9.1) and steals (1.9).

• Sophomore Olivia Manges became the 21st person to hit 30 3-pointers in a season with her two against Alvernia.

• Manges has hit 15-of-28 from 3-point range in the last five games.
