Warriors look for series sweep of Lebanon Valley to stay in playoff race

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Two games out of the fifth and final playoff slot with four games remaining, the Lycoming College men's basketball team will begin a stretch of must-win games on Wednesday night, Feb. 12, when it hosts Lebanon Valley in a key Commonwealth Conference  matchup at Dutch Burch Court at Lamade Gym.

The Warriors (9-11 overall, 5-9 Commonwealth) are coming off an 80-67 loss to Stevenson on Feb. 8. Posts led the Warriors again, as senior Kevin Anthony finished with 15 points and classmate Michael Rudy added 13 points and four blocks.

The Flying Dutchmen (9-12 overall, 7-7 Commonwealth) have entered the fight for a conference playoff spot by winning four games in a row, including a 69-63 win at Hood on Feb. 10.

• With 1,177 career points, senior Kevin Anthony needs seven more to pass Eric Anthony (2007-10) for 19th on the all-time scoring list.

• Junior Malcolm Covington reached 400 collegiate assists with his third of four at Stevenson. He posted 313 in two years at Orange Community College.

• Junior Pat Dougher needs three more 3-pointers to become the 13th player in school history to can 125 in a career.
