WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Less than a week after reaching 250 wins as a basketball coach, Lycoming College women's basketball coach Chris Ditzler can become the first coach in the athletic department's history to reach 500 career wins on Saturday, Dec. 6, when the team heads to Hood for a Commonwealth Conference game.

The Warriors (6-1 overall, 1-1 Commonwealth) are coming off a huge early season win, when they posted a 50-46 win over the defending conference champions, Messiah. Freshman Shelby Mueller led the team with 13 points and both junior Chelsea Henderson and sophomore Nicole Calella added 11.

The Blazers (1-4 overall, 0-2 Commonwealth) are coming off an 80-51 loss to Lebanon Valley. Junior Verkia Smith led the team with 10 points in her first start of the season.

• Head coach Christen Ditzler has won 251 games as head women's basketball coach during her time as head coach that started in 1993. She also added 235 softball wins from 1993-08 and 13 volleyball wins in 2000.

• Junior Olivia Manges is seven points away from becoming the 38th player in school history to reach 500 career points.

• With 128 career steals, senior Janelle Ziminski is five shy of 11th in school history, where Adrienne Aiken (1987-91) sits with 133.

• Sophomore Nicole Calella is tied for the Commonwealth Conference lead at 4.4 assists per game.

• Freshman Shelby Mueller is averaging 13.5 points and shooting 71 percent from the floor.

• Junior Chelsea Henderson is averaging 3.0 steals over the last five games.

• The Warriors' win over Messiah was the first in 18  meetings, dating back to a 70-56 win in the MAC quarterfinals in 1995.
