WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Riding a six-game winning streak, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will look for its first Hoops for Hounds Classic title in five years on Monday, Dec. 29, when it hosts TCNJ at 3 p.m. in Lamade Gym.
The Warriors (9-1 overall) are coming off a 57-47 win over Delaware Valley in the opening round of the classic, as they held the Aggies to 26 percent from the field. Three scored in double figures, led by 13 points from junior
Chelsea Henderson. Sophomore
Nicole Calella added 12 points and senior
Ali Derr posted 10.
The Lions (5-5 overall) opened the classic with a 57-51 win over Case Western Reserve. Senior Kelly Coughlin led the team with 15 points and junior Christina Merlin notched nine points and four rebounds.
