WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - After opening the season with five wins in six games, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will host Messiah College on Wednesday night, Dec. 3, looking to make an early statement that it is a contender in the Commonwealth Conference.
The Warriors (5-1 overall, 0-1 Commonwealth) are coming off a convincing 72-59 win over Susquehanna. Junior
Olivia Manges led the team with 16 points and four 3-pointers and senior
Ali Derr provided 15 points and nine rebounds.
The defending conference champion Falcons (3-3 overall, 1-0 Commonwealth) lost three of their first four games, but have rebounded with two convincing wins, including a 78-65 win over Lebanon Valley to open their conference season, as sophomore Gillian Glackin led the team with 16 points and 15 rebounds.
