Warriors ready for crosstown rivalry with Penn College

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - With finals week coming to a close, the Lycoming College men's basketball team will get back on the court on Sunday, Dec. 14, when it will head across town to face newly-minted Division III-program Penn College.

The Warriors (4-4 overall) will be trying to rebound after dropping a 72-70 decision to Hood on Saturday, Dec. 6. The Warriors were led by 16 points and four 3-pointers from freshman Issak Bodon and sophomore Nykolas King added a career-high 15 points.

The Wildcars (2-5 overall) entered the week with two straight wins under their belt, posting an 89-79 win over Wilson on Saturday, Dec. 6. Three players recorded double-doubles, led by Kevin Laurence-El's 22 points and 13 rebounds.

Warrior Notes
• Even with eight previous meetings, the Warriors are traveling to Bardo Gym for just the second time in school history Sunday.

• The Warriors are 13-0 all-time against opponents from the North East Athletic Conference.

• Freshman Issak Bodon needs eight more points to reach 100 in his young career.

• Sophomore Nykolas King has posted career highs in points in each of the last two games, posting 14 against Messiah and 15 at Hood.

• Senior Patrick Dougher has dropped in two 3-pointers in each of the last four games.

• Senior Malcolm Covington has 18 games in his career with five or more assists.

• Freshman Alex Newbold has at least one steal in all eight games this year.

• The Warriors are second in the Commonwealth Conference in 3-point field goal percentage defense (.280) and offensive rebounds (13.0).
