WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - After dropping a narrow decision at Messiah on Jan. 8, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will get back into action on Saturday, Jan. 11, when it heads to Widener looking for its first win over the Pride since 2009.
Tied for fourth in the conference, the Warriors (6-5 overall, 3-2 Commonwealth) and Pride (8-4 overall, 3-2 Commonwealth) are meeting at a critical time in the conference season, with seven teams already picking up two conference wins.
The Warriors have won their three conference games on the strength of the two post positions shooting a combined 53 percent from the floor and averaging 35 points per game. Widener is a contrast of styles as guard Jennifer Egee leads the league at 22.3 points per game.
