WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - After a pair of narrow losses, the Lycoming College men's basketball team will look for one of the biggest upsets in school history when it heads to 20th-ranked Messiah for a Commonwealth Conference showdown on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

The Warriors (5-5 overall, 1-3 Commonwealth) are coming off a heartbreaking 79-76 loss at Arcadia on Jan. 4. The Warriors were led by their post play, as senior Kevin Anthony posted 15 points and 10 rebounds and sophomore Will Wingate added 14 points and nine rebounds.

The Falcons (10-0 overall, 4-0 Commonwealth) entered the D3hoops.com poll after an 82-72 win over 17th-ranked Guilford on Jan. 4, as five players finished in double figures.

Warrior Notes
• Messiah is the first ranked team the Warriors have faced since taking on No. 18 Carnegie Mellon on Jan. 20, 2009. The Warriors fell, 71-56.

• Senior Kevin Anthony became the 30th player in school history to reach 1,000 career points with the third of 15 points at Arcadia.

• Anthony needs two more rebounds to become the 22nd player in school history to reach 500 in a career.

• Anthony needs four more points to tie Jack Sowers (1947-51) for 28th in program history with 1,016 career points.

• With 59 blocks, senior Justin Miller needs two more rejections to enter the top 10 in the school's career record book.

• Senior Michael Rudy needs 14 more rejections to tie Matt Stackhouse (2000-04) for first in school history with 142 career blocks.

• The Warriors are 10-6 all-time on Jan. 8.
