Warriors look to even Commonwealth slate at Arcadia

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Coming off a narrow loss to McDaniel in the championship of the Basinger Tournament, the Lycoming College men's basketball team will look to get back on track as it looks to even its Commonwealth Conference record at Arcadia on Saturday, Jan. 4.

The Warriors (5-4 overall, 1-2 Commonwealth) were led by a double-double from senior Michael Rudy, who posted 11 points and 10 rebounds in the 62-57 loss to McDaniel. Senior Kevin Anthony added 13 points and nine rebounds.

The Knights (4-5 overall, 0-3 Commonwealth) are coming off a 92-75 loss to Lebanon Valley on Dec. 18. Junior forward Joe Brown led the way with 28 points, as he hit 11-of-17 from the field.

• The Warriors are 7-9 overall on Jan. 4, including 2-0 under Coach Rancourt.

• The Warriors are looking to open the year 6-4 for the sixth time in as many years under Coach Rancourt.

• Senior Kevin Anthony needs three more points to become the 30th player in school history to reach 1,000 career points.

• Anthony needs 12 more rebounds to become the 22nd player in school history to reach 500 in a career.

• Senior Justin Miller needs five more points to surpass his career high of 105 set as a junior.

• With 59 blocks, Miller needs two more rejections to enter the top 10 in the school's career record book.

• The Warriors shot a season-low 35.6 percent against McDaniel. It was just the third time this season the Warriors didn't shoot 50 percent in a game.
