WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Having dropped five of its last six contests, the Lycoming College women's basketball team finds itself in a must-win situation on Wednesday, Jan. 29, as it hosts Alvernia in a Commonwealth Conference matchup.
The Warriors (7-9 overall, 4-6 Commonwealth) are coming off a solid effort against first-place Elizabethtown, as they held the Blue Jays to 15 points under its season average in a 56-46 loss. However, the loss kept the Warriors a game behind Albright and Widener for the fifth and final playoff slot.
Meanwhile, the Crusaders (6-10 overall, 2-8 Commonwealth) narrowly fell to another first-place team, Lebanon Valley, 64-61, leaving them three games out of the final playoff slot with eight games remaining.
