Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – A last-second shot at the end of regulation for the Lycoming College women's basketball team was blocked and Albright College scored seven of the first nine points in overtime to help lift it to a narrow 67-65 Commonwealth Conference win on Wednesday night, Jan. 22, at Dutch Burch Court at Lamade Gym.

Down by six with 3:44 remaining, the Warriors worked back into the game, as sophomore
Victoria Siebecker (Annville, Pa./Annville-Cleona) hit a jumper and then after two failed Albright possessions, freshman point guard
Nicole Calella (Sandyston, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) took a long rebound the distance for a layup. A backcourt turnover led to a game-tying layup by sophomore
Olivia Manges (York, Pa./West York)with 1:06 left that made it 57-57.

The Lions took the lead back when Jessica Venturelli hit a jumper from just outside the free throw line. They nearly sowed the game up with 30 seconds left, as a blocked shot led to a 1-and-1 opportunity, but the missed free throw led to senior
Julia Antonelli (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) finding space and hitting a short jumper.

With three seconds left, Albright turned the ball over on the Lycoming baseline and the Warriors took the ensuing rebound coast-to-coast, but as the layup went up, Venturelli deflected the shot out of bounds.

In overtime, the Lions took a 66-61 lead with 1:38 left, but a pair of free throws from Calella and a jumper from junior
Ali Derr (New Columbia, Pa./Milton Area) made it 66-65 with 23 seconds left. A turnover led to Lycoming getting a chance to take the lead, but the Warriors turned the ball over, helping Albright close out the win.

The Warriors started the game hot, as Derr scored nine of the team's first 11 points while helping the team to an 11-4 lead with 14:45 left. The Lions responded with a 24-6 run over the next eight minutes and continued to control the half, finishing it with a 3-pointer from Amanda Tiritilli to take a 35-25 lead into the break.

Lycoming responded quickly after the break, with junior
Janelle Ziminski (Drums, Pa./Hazleton Area) scoring the first four points of the half and helping the Warriors on a 16-4 run, with Derr hitting a jumper with 14:26 left to take a 41-39 lead. The Lions built the lead back to nine points at 56-47 with 5:33 left, but Lycoming closed the half on a 12-3 run to tie the game.

Derr scored a career-high 23 points and added eight rebounds and Calella posted 10 points, seven assists and four rebounds. Antonelli posted eight points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals. Ziminski added eight points and a career-high seven steals, the fourth-most in school history, which helped her cross 100 thefts in her career. Manges also posted eight points and five assists.

Kelecia Harris posted 21 points, seven rebounds and four blocks and Venturelli, Kadijah Bishop and Emily O'Donnell each had 10 points. Bishop added a game-high 11 rebounds.

The Warriors head to Elizabethtown on Saturday, Jan. 25, for a 1 p.m. Commonwealth Conference game against the league leaders.
