WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Freshman
Lauren Fink (York, Pa./West York) dropped in 27 kills as she helped lead the hot-hitting Lycoming College volleyball team to a three-match sweep of a quad-meet at Lamade Gym, as the team beat Wilkes, 3-0 (25-14. 25-22, 25-17), Baptist Bible, 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-12) and Penn College, 3-0 (25-6, 25-22, 25-12), on Saturday, Sept. 14.

The Warriors (7-5 overall), after hitting .148 against Wilkes, hit better than .300 in the final two matches, boasting a .321 average against Baptist Bible and .400 against Penn College.

Against Wilkes (1-6 overall), Fink notched 11 kills and 12 digs and freshman
Maggie Slawson (Armagh, Pa./United) added seven kills and 15 digs to lead the Warriors.

Kristine Jahn (Enola, Pa./Cumberland Valley) added five kills and four aces and senior
Katelyn McKillop (Mount Pocono, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) notched 30 assists and 13 digs. Junior
Kylee Sutton (Wysox, Pa./Towanda Area) added three blocks.

Casey Bohan led Wilkes with 10 kills and Erin Nothstein added 14 digs.

Against Baptist Bible (5-7 overall), Fink notched eight kills, 10 digs, four aces and two blocks to lead the Warriors to the sweep. Junior
Amber Seibel (McDonald, Pa./South Fayette) added 14 digs and Slawson also posted eight kills and seven digs. McKillop finished with 28 assists and five digs.

The Defenders were led by five kills from Kaitlyn Miller and nine digs from Julia Armstrong.

Fink added eight more kills on 11 opportunities to wrap up the afternoon against Penn College (0-7 overall), as she helped the Warriors post a 25-6 first set win, the largest margin of victory for the Warriors in a set since a 30-10 win over Baptist Bible in 2003. It was the fewest points allowed by the Warriors in a set since college volleyball switched to rally scoring in 2001.

Bethany Richardson (York, Pa./West York) and junior
Laura Cinicola (Tamaqua, Pa./Marian Catholic) each added six kills. Freshman
Hannah Vile (Sheffield, Pa./Sheffield Area) added 10 assists and Seibel led the team with 18 digs.

Courtney Gernert notched eight kills and seven digs and both Loralee Lindemuth and Kaitlyn Klein each added eight digs for the Wildcats.

The Warriors get back on the court on Tuesday, Sept. 17, when they host Mount Aloysius in a non-conference match at 7 p.m. in Lamade Gym.
