WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - With just three games left in the regular season, the Lycoming College men’s basketball team will hit the floor on Saturday, Feb. 9, in one of its biggest games of the season when it faces a much-improved Arcadia University squad in a battle of third-place teams in the Commonwealth Conference.
The Warriors (14-8 overall, 8-7 Commonwealth) are tied for third in the league with Arcadia (13-9 overall, 8-7 Commonwealth) and Messiah, as all three are in position to earn one of the league’s five playoff bids, while the surging Hood and Stevenson are both a game back in sixth place at 7-8 in league play.
After winning a pair of games against Widener and Messiah, the Warriors have fallen in their last pair, falling to Stevenson, 82-76, and Lebanon Valley, 84-75, giving Saturday’s game with the Knights extra importance, as the Warriors wrap up the season by facing second-place Albright and sixth-place Hood.
