WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The Lycoming College men’s basketball team may have solo possession of third place in the Commonwealth Conference with two games remaining, but its hold on one of the league’s five playoff spots is anything but solid, with four teams just one game behind. Still, the Warriors hold their destiny in their hands, and a win against second-place Albright on Tuesday, Feb. 12, in Lamade Gym would all but clinch the team’s second playoff bid in a row.
The Warriors (15-8 overall, 9-7 Commonwealth) posted an 82-76 overtime win at Arcadia, one of the four teams locked up in fourth place, on Saturday, Feb. 9. Freshman William Wingate, in his first start, posted 16 points and 11 rebounds.
The Lions (18-5 overall, 11-5 Commonwealth)  have dropped their last two games, including an 82-81 decision to fourth-place Stevenson on Feb. 9.
