WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - In a tie for the fifth and final Commonwealth Conference playoff spot, the Lycoming College women’s basketball team will look to stay in the race for its first bid to the postseason since 2000 when it hosts Stevenson in a critical league play clash on Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Lamade Gym.

The Warriors (5-14 overall, 5-8 Commonwealth) drew even with Albright for fifth-place in the league after a 58-32 loss to Messiah on Wednesday, Jan. 30. However, a season sweep of the Mustangs (7-11 overall, 4-9 Commonwealth) will go a long ways to help the Warriors clinch a playoff slot, as Albright faces No. 21 Lebanon Valley today.

The Mustangs, meanwhile, have won two of their last three and can do a lot for their playoff hopes with a win today, as they would at least draw even with the Warriors with four conference games remaining.

Game Notes
• The Warriors need one more win to reach six in the conference for the first time since the 2003-04 team won seven.

• Scheller needs to hit four more 3-pointers to become the seventh player in school history to hit 100 in a career.

• Freshmen have accounted for 13 of the team’s 28 double-figure scoring efforts this season, led by six from Shannon Wheeler.
