Warriors look to even overall record against the Blazers

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - After evening its conference record at 1-1, the Lycoming College women's basketball team looks to even its overall record by heading to Hood College on Saturday, Dec. 7, for a 1 p.m. Commonwealth Conference game.

The Warriors (2-3 overall, 1-1 Commonwealth) are led by four players that average better than 7.5 points per game. Senior Julia Antonelli leads the team with 17.4 points, freshman Nicole Calella adds 8.6, junior Ali Derr posts 7.8 and sophomore Olivia Manges averages 8.0.

The Blazers (1-3 overall, 0-1 Commonwealth) are coming off a 61-35 loss to Stevenson on Dec. 4. Freshman Brittany George led the team with 12 points while freshman Rachel Wiley had 10 rebounds.

Warrior Notes
• The Warriors are 6-2 all-time on Dec. 7, last falling to Susquehanna, 79-62, in 2009.

• Senior Julia Antonelli needs four more points to become the 12th player in school history to reach 900 career points. She needs 20 points to move into the top 10 in school history in scoring, where Jennifer Shuler sits with 916 points from 1995-99.

• Antonelli is tied for the conference lead in scoring at 17.4 points with Widener's Jen Egee.

• Sophomore Olivia Manges reached 250 career points with her six of nine against Alvernia.

• Sophomore Chelsea Henderson has five rebounds in three of the last four games and two steals in each of the last two.

• Junior Ali Derr needs 17 more points to reach 300 in her career.

• Freshman Nicole Calella is tied for fourth in the conference in assists per game at 4.4.
