WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – A two-legged takedown in sudden victory helped freshman Seth Lansberry (Klingerstown, Pa./Line Mountain) post a win at 149 pounds to highlight the Lycoming College wrestling team's night, as it fell 29-6 to SUNY Brockport at Lamade Gymnasium on Wednesday night, Nov. 20.
 
Lansberry defeated Jordan Dyer, 7-5, a 2013 NCAA Division III qualifier, in a solid statement match to improve to 6-1 on the season. He took a 3-0 lead into the third period after a second-period escape and takedown. In the third, he appeared to have the match wrapped up after an escape by Dyer when he scored a second takedown to take a 5-2 lead. However, Dyer got out and then scored a takedown to tie the match just before time expired. In the overtime, Lansberry got in on a leg and finished the takedown to earn the win.
 
Senior Greg Wetzel (Pleasant Valley, N.Y./Arlington) added a 3-1 win at 184 pounds over Peter Hailer, posting a first-period takedown before notching a second-period escape to earn the win.
 
The Warriors (1-1 overall) came up with several near misses, posting with freshman Andrew Gipe (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) narrowly fell, 9-8, at 133 pounds and junior Caleb Willey (Towanda, Pa./Towanda Area) fell, 13-11, at 141 pounds.
 
Brockport improved to 1-0. The Golden Eagles started the season ranked 16^th in the NWCA Division III Coaches' Poll.
 
The Warriors will get back on the mat on Saturday, Nov. 23, when they head to Alliance, Ohio for the Mount Union Duals. Lycoming will face fifth-ranked Messiah at 11 a.m., Waynesburg at 2 p.m., Muskingum at 3:30 p.m. and 29^th-ranked Mount Union at 5 p.m.
