Warriors look for win to close out Morgan Stanley Tip-Off

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - After opening the season by coming up just short in the closing minutes against tournament host DeSales on Friday night, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will look to get back on track on Saturday, Nov. 16, as it faces Eastern University to close out the Morgan Stanley Tip-Off Tournament at Billela Hall.

The Warriors (0-1 overall) were led by senior Julia Antonelli, who posted 18 points and six rebounds in the game, but the Warriors couldn't complete a comeback that had the team within two points of DeSales with 3:06 left, falling 65-54.

Eastern (0-1 overall) also fell in its first round game to Stevens Tech, 71-67. Junior Meghan Nowak led the team with 23 points.

Warrior Notes
• Senior Julia Antonelli moved into seventh in school history in career rebounds, as she finished the DeSales game with 530, two more than Kristin Friel (1986-90).

• Antonelli needs four more steals to become the 22nd player in school history to swipe 100 in a career.

• Freshman Nicole Calella opened the 2013-14 season by posting seven points and nine rebounds. The point guard also had four assists.

• Sophomore Olivia Manges scored in double figures in each of the last eight games of 2012-13.

• Manges posted a career-high four assists and added a career-high tying four steals against DeSales.

• The Warriors are 3-0 all-time on Nov. 16, last beating Penn College, 89-46, in 2010.
