Michael Rudy (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) kicked off his final collegiate campaign in style, as the 6-7 forward blocked a school-record seven shots and he added a career-high 23 points to lift the Lycoming College men's basketball team to a 94-77 win over Penn College in the season-opener in the opening round of the Dutch Burch Tip-Off at Lamade Gym on Friday, Nov. 15.
The Warriors (1-0 overall) will move on to face John Jay in the championship match of the Dutch Burch Tip-Off on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 3:30 p.m., as John Jay won the other first round matchup against Penn State Brandywine, 80-62. Penn College will face Penn State Brandywine in the consolation game at 1 p.m. and Dutch Burch Court will be dedicated in a special ceremony at 3 p.m.

Kevin Anthony (Columbus, Ohio/Bridgton Academy) added 17 points and eight rebounds and senior
Justin Miller (Agawam, Mass./Bridgton Academy) posted a career-high 18 points and seven rebounds, as Lycoming's post players accounted 61 of the team's 94 points.
Junior
Malcolm Covington (Bronx, N.Y./Christ the King), a SUNY Orange transfer, kicked off his career by posting 10 points and eight assists, helping the Warriors score 54 points in the paint, 22 off turnover and 14 on the fast break.
The Warriors jumped out to a 13-0 lead, as Anthony used a pair of thundering dunks to kickstart the run and the Wildcats (0-1 overall) spent much of the rest of the half catching up, using a 24-13 run to close within three points at 27-24 after a layup by Christopher Johnson. Eric Ishman (Jamaica, N.Y./Christ the King) added another three to make it 36-24 in a nine-point run.
The Wildcats scored the next six points thanks to back-to-back 3-pointers from Vincent Mauck, but again the Warriors rolled out on a 17-9 run to close the half.
Miller started the second half with an old-fashioned 3-point play for Lycoming and the Warriors got the lead to as many as 22 points before the Wildcats cut the lead to nine with 8:21 left after a 3-pointer from Bryce Lonsway. A pair of fastbreak buckets, though, got Lycoming rolling again thanks to layups from Covington and Anthony, using an 18-4 run to put the game away at 89-66 with 2:40 left. The Wildcats closed within 17 points late in the contest.
Four Wildcats finished in double-figures, with Mauck posting 15 points, Lonsway adding 13, Johnson 11 and Marquis Delgado 10.
