WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Tied for the fifth and final playoff spot in the Commonwealth Conference standings, the Lycoming College women’s basketball team and Alvernia University are set for a huge clash on Wednesday night, Jan. 23, in Reading, as both teams look for leverage in the race for the playoffs.
The Warriors (4-12 overall, 4-6 Commonwealth) narrowly fell to fourth-place Elizabethtown, 52-49, in their last outing, as junior
Julia Antonelli provided 16 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Warriors and freshman
Victoria Siebecker came off the bench to post 10 points.
The Crusaders (7-9 overall) postied a 79-61 win at Hood on Monday, Jan. 21, as freshman guard Chelsea Ebersole scored a career-high 24 points to lead the team.
Warrior Notes
• The Warriors need one more win to reach five in the conference for the second straight year, the first time since the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons that they could accomplish that.

Julia Antonelli became the 20th player in school history to reach 700 career points with her ninth of 16 against Elizabethtown.
