CRESSON, Pa. – Junior Shelby Gear (Rochester, N.Y./Gates-Chili) led the way with 13 kills and four blocks as the Lycoming College volleyball team posted a 3-1 (25-19, 27-25, 26-24, 23-25) win over Mount Aloysius in non-conference action on Thursday, Sept. 13.
 
The win was Lycoming’s sixth straight over the Mounties (3-5 overall), dating back to 2008, and it was the third straight Warrior win by a 3-1 score.
 
Senior Jackie Oliva (Barnesville, Pa./Mahanoy Area) added eight kills and three blocks and freshman Bethany Richardson (York, Pa./West York Area) notched 10 kills, 16 digs and three blocks. Sophomore Amber Seibel (McDonald, Pa./South Fayette) posted six kills, four aces and 14 digs while sophomore Kristin Whitehead (Avon, Ohio/Avon) posted 31 digs. Junior Katelyn McKillop (Mount Pocono, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) added 33 assists and 18 digs.
 
The Warriors (6-3 overall) get back on the court on Saturday, Sept. 15 when they head to Wilkes for a tri-match, taking on Baptist Bible (Pa.) at 12 p.m. before playing the host Colonels at 2 p.m.
