WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - With its back against the wall, the Lycoming College women’s basketball team will look to keep its Commonwealth Conference Championship hopes alive on Saturday, Feb. 11, when it hosts Widener in Lycoming’s annual Breast Cancer Awareness game.
The Warriors (10-11 overall, 5-6 Commonwealth) have already set a program record for wins in a Commonwealth Conference season, but the larger goal of securing one of the conference’s four playoff slots is still within reach, but the team will likely have to sweep its remaining games, two of which are against the two teams currently in front of the Warriors, Widener and Elizabethtown.
The Pride (14-7 overall, 7-3 Commonwealth) can clinch their fourth straight bid to the championship with a win over the Warriors.
