WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - While the first battle between the league’s top two offenses turned into a defensive battle that the Lycoming College men’s basketball team won, 66-62, the second meeting will likely be another story, as Widener will bring a season-average of 82.1 points per game to Lamade Gym while the Warriors are averaging 80.0 heading into Saturday, Feb. 11’s critical Commonwealth Conference showdown.

The Warriors (17-5 overall, 7-4 Commonwealth) are led by senior Mike Bradley, who is sixth in league play with an average of 14.1 points per game. Bradley notched 19 points and added eight rebounds in a 59-57 loss to league-leading Messiah on Feb. 8.

Widener (16-6 overall, 7-4 Commonwealth) is led by senior Perry Wright, who is fourth in the league at 15.5 points per game.

Warrior Notes

• The Warriors’ magic number to clinch a Commonwealth Conference Championship slot is two. Any combination of Warrior wins and losses by Albright will help the Warriors clinch a playoff slot.

• The Warriors were ranked third in the initial NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional poll, released on Wednesday, Feb. 8.

• Junior Jerald Williams needs two assists to become the first Commonwealth Conference player to reach 200 dimes in a season since Elizabethtown’s Rocky Parise posted 217 in 32 games in 2001-02.

• Williams’ 74 steals this season are third in school history. He needs 10 to break his own school record of 84 set a freshman.

• Senior Mike Bradley has scored in double figures in each of the last 10 Commonwealth Conference games for the Warriors.

• Bradley needs 24 points to become the 38th player in school history to reach 900 in a career.
