Warriors head to Elizabethtown looking for key conference win

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - After a pair of losses by 10 points or less to open the Commonwealth Conference season, the Lycoming College women’s basketball team will look for its first win at Elizabethtown on Wednesday night, Dec. 5.

The Warriors (0-5 overall, 0-2 Commonwealth) have a balanced scoring attack that includes 10 players that are averaging more than 4.0 points per game, led by freshman guard Shannon Wheeler, who is averaging 8.0 points per game.

The Blue Jays (1-5 overall, 0-2 Commonwealth) are coming off a 70-52 loss to No. 10 Messiah on Saturday, Dec. 1. Sophomore Taylor Alwine led the Blue Jays with 12 points and junior Taylor Kreider added 11 points and five assists.

Warrior Notes
• Junior Julia Antonelli has pulled down 10 or more rebounds in each of the last four games. Antonelli is second in the Commonwealth Conference at 10.0 rebounds per game.

• Senior Rachael Scheller needs 11 more assists and nine more steals to move into the top five in school history in those career categories.

• Scheller needs two points to become the 25th player in school history to score 600 career points.

• Sophomore Ali Derr needs one rebound to become the 79th player in school history to reach 100 in a career.

• Sophomore Kat Andriani has had seven or more rebounds in seven of her last eight games.

• Freshman Chelsea Henderson scored on her first two touches of her collegiate career against Hood.
