GREENVILLE, Pa. – Senior
Tyler Cunningham (Haddon Township, N.J./Haddon Township) moved up a weight class and posted a 12-3 major decision against Shawn Reynolds at 197 pounds to clinch the Lycoming College wrestling team’s 19-14 win at Thiel on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Beeghly Gymnasium.
The Warriors (1-0 overall) improved to 16-4 all-time in dual meet openers under 20

Freshman
Cody Barbiche (Milford, N.J./Delaware Valley Regional) started off the meet by posting a 4-1 decision over Nick Hart at 125 pounds, as he notched his first career dual meet win. After a loss at 133, the Warriors reeled off four straight wins to make it 12-3.
Sophomore
Caleb Willey (Towanda, Pa./Towanda Area) notched a 12-6 win over Jordan Smith at 141, freshman
Matt Neff (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) added his first dual-meet win with a 9-3 win over Shawn King, sophomore
Brian Watkins (Bear Gap, Pa./Southern Columbia) notched a takedown in sudden victory round two to post a 3-1 win over Brandon Collins at 157 and sophomore
Greg Wetzel (Pleasant Valley, N.Y./Arlington) posted a solid 7-0 win over Ryan Carson at 165 to end the run.
The Wildcats (0-1 overall) cut the Warriors’ lead to 15-11 after a tech fall at 184, but Cunningham clinched the win with his major decision to help Lycoming improve to 9-0 all-time against Thiel. The Wildcats wrapped up the meat with an overtime win at heavyweight.
The Warriors get back in action on Thursday, Nov. 15, when they head to York (Pa.) for a 7 p.m. match.
