WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Having reached the Commonwealth Conference finals in three of the last five years, the high-scoring Lycoming College men’s basketball team will open another highly anticipated campaign with its 15th annual Tip-Off Tournament against Penn State Wilkes-Barre on Friday, Nov. 16, at 6 p.m.
The Warriors, who finished 19-8 overall in 2011-12, are led by senior point guard Jerald Williams, who finished in the top 10 in the nation in steals (3.07, seventh), assists (8.7, fourth) and assist-turnover ratio (3.44, fourth). The team also returns junior Kevin Anthony, who tied for the team lead with 13.1 points per game.
The Mountain Lions, who finished 15-13 overall and reached the Penn State University Athletic Conference finals in 2011-12, are 0-1 after falling to Johnson College, 73-70.
Warrior Notes
• The Warriors are averaging 97.5 points per game in two outings against Penn State Wilkes-Barre.
• Junior
Kevin Anthony needs seven points to reach 700 in his career. He also needs four blocks to become the fifth player in school history to reach 75 in a career.

Jerald Williams needs eight steals to reach 250 in his career. He is 45 steals away from the top 25 in NCAA Division III history.
• Williams enters the season with 560 assists, which is 108 helpers away from the MAC record of 668 set by Lebanon Valley’s Mike Rhoads from 1992-95.

Ihsaan Davis is one of seven players in school history to hit 40 3-pointers in each of his first three seasons.
• The Warriors led the Commonwealth Conference in free throw percentage (.702), blocked shots (5.8), assists (18.2), turnover margin (+5.04) and assist/turnover ratio (1.3) in 2011-12.
