WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - With a Commonwealth Conference-leading 85.6 points per game, the league-leading Lycoming College men’s basketball team will try to speed up the league’s top defense in second-place Messiah, which allows just 60.6 points per game. The two teams will cap a conference doubleheader on Wednesday, Jan. 18, at 8 p.m. in Lamade Gym.
The Warriors (14-1 overall, 4-0 Commonwealth), who are ranked eighth in the latest NCAA Division III Wolfe rankings, also lead the conference in scoring margin (+13.4), field goal percentage (.477), blocked shots (6.4), assists (21.7), turnover margin (+7.13) and assist-turnover ratio (1.6).
Messiah (9-5 overall, 3-1 Commonwealth) is led by sophomore David Fernandez, who is third in the league with a 17.2 points-per-game average.

Ihsaan Davis became the 46th player in school history to reach 800 points in a career with his 11th of 20 against Arcadia.
• Junior Jerald Williams’ 151 assists this season are tied for third in school history. He is 31 helpers from his own school record of 182 set in 2010-11.
