WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Something will have to give on Saturday, Dec. 3, when the Lycoming College men’s basketball team brings the Commonwealth Conference’s top scoring offense to Alvernia University, which features the league’s top scoring defense.

The Warriors (5-0 overall, 1-0 Commonwealth) have averaged 86.2 points per contest and the squad features two of the top 10 scorers in the league in sophomore Kevin Anthony (18.4 points per game, second) and junior Anthony Martin (14.6 points per game, eighth).

The Crusaders (2-2 overall, 1-0 Commonwealth) allow just 63.5 points per game, as the disciplined team has allowed opponents to shoot just 25 percent from 3-point range. Preseason All-American Cory Boone, a 6-8 center, could return from a knee injury for the game with the Warriors, adding another dimension to the team’s defense.
