WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The Lycoming College women’s basketball team gets its season underway on Friday night, Nov. 18, at 8 p.m., as the Warriors head to preseason Colonial States Athletic Conference favorite Gwynedd-Mercy for the second game in the first round of the Gwynedd-Mercy Tip-Off Tournament.
The Warriors (0-0 overall) return six players that earned significant starting experience in 2010-11, led by sophomore
Julia Antonelli, who averaged 10.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per game as a rookie.
The Griffins (0-1 overall) will look to rebound from a season-opening 96-74 loss to No. 24 Kean. Senior Bryn Cotteta led the Griffins with 18 points and senior Brittany Neil added 11 in the game.
Warrior Notes
• The Warriors are 16-17 all-time in season openers. They have won the last four in a row, scoring more than 75 points in all of them.
• Lycoming is 27-15 (.643) all-time against teams from the CSAC.
