WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Junior #Emily Abel# (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove) posted 21 digs to lead the Lycoming College volleyball team, but a solid team effort from Albright College helped it post a 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-14) Commonwealth Conference win on Tuesday, Sept. 21.

The Warriors (6-7 overall, 0-2 Commonwealth) were led in hitting by freshmen Tanya DeWalt (Mainesburg, Pa./Mansfield), who posted six kills, and Shelby Gear (Rochester, N.Y./Gates-Chili), who added five kills and two digs. Freshman Katelyn McKillop (Mount Pocono, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) added 14 assists, nine digs and two aces and junior #Amy Sharlow# (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) added nine assists, seven digs and two aces.

The Lions (2-8 overall, 1-1 Commonwealth) were led by 11 kills from Christina Mantz. Danielle Ozment added four kills and 12 digs and Lauren Higgins posted 19 assists and three digs. Laura van Bendegem added six kills and three digs.

Lycoming gets back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 29, when the Warriors head to Widener for a Commonwealth Conference match at 7 p.m.
