WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – One run is all it took to make the difference in both games of a doubleheader between the Lycoming College softball team and Arcadia University. The Lady Warriors swept the series, winning the first game 1-0 and scoring on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 10th inning to win the second game 4-3.

In the second game with the bases loaded, freshman Ashley Demchak reached home plate in the 10th inning to score the winning run. Fellow freshman Brieanne Braga was the winning pitcher, hurling in all 10 innings. Senior Jess Nabholz went two-for-three in the game, driving in two RBIs and scoring a run while also walking twice. First baseman Courtney Black registered 11 putouts.

Freshman Amy Cline scored the only run in the first inning. Holly Lansberry pitched all seven innings to earn the victory. Taylor Lesser got three hits in three plate appearances. As a team, Lycoming (7-13, 2-2) tallied 10 hits in 27 at-bats, but had difficulty advancing the base runners.

Lycoming travels to Grantham, Pa. for its next Commonwealth Conference match up against Messiah College on Thursday, April 1. The opening pitch is set for 3 p.m.
