WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. --- With a 10 point lead the first four minutes of the game, the Lycoming College Lady Warriors were able to over-power Arcadia University Saturday, Feb. 7 in a big 57-38 Commonwealth Conference game. Allison Mock led all scorers with 14 points, including four three-point baskets.
With the win, Lycoming improves to 13-6 overall and 3-5 in the Commonwealth while Arcadia slips to 3-18 and 0-9.
The game was also Lycoming's "Pink Zone" game in which the fans wore pink to show their support of breast cancer research.
Mock started the early scoring, hitting a three pointer just four seconds into the game. Andrea Cooper added her own three at 18:43, with the assist going to Rebecca Leid.
Stifling defense was able to hold Arcadia scoreless until 18:02 as the Knights’ Kim Milligan drove the lane and scored a layup. The Warriors were again able to hold Arcadia scoreless until Caitlin Sparks hit a jumper at the top of the key at 13:53, giving Lycoming a 14-4 advantage.
Lycoming took its biggest lead of the half into the locker room after Jessica Nabholz picked a pass and was fouled on her drive to the rim. Nabholz converted on the first free throw shot, putting the Warriors up 35-14 as the first half ended.

In the second half, the high-powered offense continued to dominate as Leid knocked down a mid-range jumper, giving Lycoming a 23-point lead. The Warriors built upon their lead, going up by 28 at 5:24 as Meagan Pittius hit a jump shot.
During the entire second half, the Lycoming lead dipped below 20 points once, as Shannon Bustin of Arcadia hit a deep three-pointer.
Milligan was the game-high scorer, putting up 16. Sparks picked up 13, giving her1,297 career points, marking her as the all-time leading scorer at Arcadia University.
For the Warriors, Mock lead with her 14 points and Cooper hit eight and had a game-high eight rebounds. A balanced game played by the entire team saw everyone score at least one point.
Lycoming will be back in action Monday Feb. 9 as it hosts PSU-Hazleton in a makeup game. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
