149 pounder Michael Maurer nearly grabbed a single leg take down, but the Ducks’ Tony Mancini scooted out of bounds. At the restart, Mancini was nailed for stalling before Maurer was able to take him down and ride him out for the rest of the period. Maurer chose down to start the second period and grabbed an early reversal. Mancini then dropped through Maurer’s hands, picking up an escape point. But Maurer was able to grab another quick two points on a takedown. Mancini started in neutral as Maurer quickly started the third period 8-1 after picking up a takedown. Maurer ended the period in exciting fashion, nearly getting a last-second takedown, but wining 8-2.
At 157, Lycoming’s Zach Frederick got early control on a takedown, going up 2-0. But Leo Dormann quickly reversed him to knot the match at two. Starting the second period, Dormann started on bottom and worked his way to both an escape and then a takedown to go up 5-2. Thirty seconds later, Frederick grabbed another point for an escape, finding himself down 5-3. A turn of events to end the second found Frederick picking up a takedown, putting Dormann straight to his back and picking up three near-fall points, going up 8-5. Both wrestlers exchanged escapes and takedowns to end the third 10-9 in favor of Frederick, but Dormann had amassed enough riding time to go to an extra period. Dormann got a quick takedown and won the bout 11-10, giving the Ducks three points, but still down 18-3.

Ranked 10th in the country at 165, Lycoming’s Chris Dalheimer wrestled Joe Favia to a 0-0 first round. Dalheimer chose to start the second period on bottom and earned an escape just eight second in to go up 1-0, a score that would stand for the rest of the period. In the first period of the 184 pound class, the Warriors’ Kyle Crouthamel and Vincent Termini wrestled a 0-0 first period, but Crouthamel picked up an escape point on an optional start in the second period. Crouthamel took the top position to start the third, earning enough riding time to assure a 2-1 victory.
At 197, Bryan Kopesky of Lycoming found himself down 5-0 early in the first period, and wrestled to stay off his back. Stevens’ Valentin Riaznov started the second on bottom, earning an escape to go up 6-0. Kopesky was able to pick up a takedown to come to 6-2, but an escape 20 seconds later gave Riaznov a 7-2 advantage. Early in the third, Kopesky picked up a takedown, but again Riaznov was able to escape, finishing the bout up 9-4.
In the final bout of the night, Stevens’ James Roarty grabbed a late takedown in the first period to go up 2-0.
