DALLAS, Pa. --- The Lycoming College women’s swim team had multiple second and third place finish, but could not over take Misericordia University, falling 142-120 on Wednesday, Nov. 18. Stacy Flick had two first place finishes and one second place.
The loss drops Lycoming to 2-3 overall and 2-1 in the Middle Atlantic Conference while the Cougars improve to 3-3 on the season and 2-0 in the MAC.
Flick (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) picked up first place finishes in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing in 1:08.57, and in the 200-yard breaststroke, with a time of 2:34.88. Emilie Norton took third with a time of 2:46.76. Flick took a second in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 57.48.
In the 100-yard backstroke, Caroline LeHota and Meg Emery finished in first and second, respectively. LeHota (Bellefonte, Pa./Bald Eagle Area) finished in 1:04.09 with Emery (Burke, Va./Lake Braddock Secondary) finished in 1:05.59.
Emery and Hope Weber went one-two in the 200-yard backstroke, with Emery touching in 2:20.45 and Weber in 2:22.76. In the 100-yard butterfly, Elisa Beck and Lindsey Hunsicker (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) took a two-three finish, with Becker (Reston, Va./South Lakes) stopping in 1:04.59 and Hunsicker in 1:05.21.
Claire Zido and Lindsay Stern took second and third in the 1,000-yard freestyle event. Zido (Pittsburgh, Pa./Woodland Hills) finished in 12:14.82 while Stern (Lawrenceville, N.J./Lawrenceville) completed the lengths in 12:37.75.
A pair of Warriors finished the 50-yard freestyle just .01 of a second apart. Ashley Tudgay (Swoyersville, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) took second in 26.43 and Randi Bosch stopped the clock in 26.44
The Lady Warriors are idle until Friday, Dec. 4 when they head to Swarthmore, Pa. for the Swarthmore Invitational. The first event is set for 6:30 p.m.
