Women's swimming falls 117-86 to Susquehanna

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.
--- The Lycoming College women’s swim team fell to Susquehanna University, last season’s Landmark Conference runner-up, by a score of 117-86 on Wednesday, Nov. 11. The Lady Warriors picked up strong individual performances from junior Meg Emery.
 
The Lady Warriors slip to 1-2 on the season while Susquehanna improves to 5-0.
 
Emery (Burke, Va./Lake Braddock Secondary) took second in the 1,000-yard freestyle event, finishing with a time of 11:56.88. She also took second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:06.14.
 
Lindsey Hunsicker and Elisa Becker (Reston, Va./South Lakes), both freshmen, took second and third just six-tenths of a second apart in the 200-yard freestyle. Hunsicker (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) finished in a time of 2:06.21 and Becker in 2:06.81
 
Freshman Hope Weber (Millersville, Pa./Penn Manor) grabbed a second place finish in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:23.23.
 
In the 50-yard freestyle, freshman Randi Bosch (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) and senior Caroline LeHota finished two-three, Bosch with a time of 26.52 and LeHota (Bellefonte, Pa./Bald Eagle Area) touching the wall in 26.68.
 
Women's Swimming
The 200-yard medley relay team of Emery, Stacy Flick, Weber and Ashley Tudgay took second in a time of 1:57.47. Tudgay (Swoyersville, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) was key to the team, finishing her anchor lap in a time of 25.92.
 
Flick (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) snagged first place in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.85.
 
The Lady Warriors return to their home pool on Saturday, Nov. 14 when they host Middle Atlantic Conference opponent Elizabethtown College. The meet is set to start at 1 p.m.
