Box Score ONEONTA, N.Y. --- The Lycoming College volleyball team did not drop a game as it went 2-0 in the second day of competition at the Oneonta Invitational. The Lady Warriors defeated King’s College 3-0 and Hartwick College 3-0 on Saturday, Oct. 3. Senior setter Abby Myers was named to the All-Tournament team following a 3-1 weekend for Lycoming.
The pair of wins improves Lycoming to 10-10 on the season.
The Lady Warriors defeated King’s College 26-24, 25-22, 25-6 as Myers (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg) posted 18 assists in the three games. Junior Kelly Rose (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Bishop Hoban) had a solid match at the net, scoring six kills in the first game, four in the second and two in the third set.
Lycoming won in straight sets over Hartwick, 25-18, 25-19, 25-14. In the first game, Emily Abel racked up 11 digs and a combined 14 in games two and three. Abel (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove) had 48 digs in the two matches.
Head coach Tim McMahon and the Lady Warriors return to the court on Tuesday, Oct. 6 when they travel to Annville, Pa. for a conference match-up with Lebanon Valley College. The contest is set to begin at 7 p.m.
