GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Lycoming College women’s basketball team used 10 different scorers en route to a 52-41 Commonwealth Conference win at Arcadia on Saturday, Jan. 17.
Andrea Cooper (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) led the Lady Warriors with 12 point, seven rebounds, six steals and five assists. Kaitlyn Ober (Lititz, Pa.) nearly missed a double-double with eight points and nine rebounds.
Arcadia was led by Caitlin Sparks’ double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds. Kim Milligan also added 12 points.
The Lady Warriors shot a season-low 24.6 percent from the floor to Arcadia’s 27.1 percent and out-rebounded their opponents 54-47.
Lycoming took the lead out of the gate and never relinquished the advantage, carrying a 28-19 lead into halftime and outscoring Arcadia 24-22 in the second half.
With the win, Lycoming improves to 10-3 overall and 2-2 in the Commonwealth Conference. Arcadia drops to 2-12 overall and 0-3 in league play.
The Lady Warriors return home on Jan. 21, as host to Wilkes University in a non-conference game at Lamade Gymnasium. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
