GLENSIDE, Pa. – Arcadia University rallied back from a 10-point second half deficit to defeat the Lycoming College men’s basketball team, 61-56, on Saturday, Jan. 17, in a Commonwealth Conference game.

The game remained close for the first half and the Warriors carried a 28-26 lead into the halftime intermission.

Lycoming opened the second half with an 8-0 run to increase the lead to 10 points, 38-28, before the Knights put together an 18-2 run over the next seven minutes to take a 46-40 lead with just under nine minutes to play.

The Warriors shooting went cold and Lycoming could not come any closer than four points for the rest of the contest.

The Warriors finished the second half shooting 25.0 percent from the field after a 44.0 percent effort in the first half. Arcadia finished the game shooting 38.9 percent from the floor. Free throws kept Lycoming in the game during the second half as the Warriors went 15-for-18 from the charity stripe.

Eric Anthony (Wheeling, W.V.) led all scorers with a game-high 18 points. Sebastian Sabella (Bayside, N.Y.) added 11 points and Greg Sye (Chantilly, Va.) finished with 10 points. Will Kelly (Williamsport, Pa.) had a game-high 10 rebounds.

Arcadia was led by Khalief Trawick’s 16 points off the bench. Bobby Mulholland added 15 points and Damien Palantino finished with 11.

The Warriors held a 41-32 advantage in rebounding.

The loss drops Lycoming to 8-6 overall and 2-2 in the Commonwealth Conference. Arcadia improves to 7-8 overall and 2-1 in league play.

The Warriors return home on Tuesday, Jan. 20, for a 7 p.m. game with Carnegie Mellon at Lamade Gymnasium.
