WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior women’s basketball guard Jessica Zerbee has been named the Lycoming College Warrior of the Week for Feb. 1.

In a week in which the Lady Warriors went 2-0, Zerbee continued to establish herself as one of the school's premier guards. On the road versus Wilkes University, she scored five points and grabbed seven rebounds to go along with two assists and a steal. Her five assists and two steals against Albright moved her into sole possession of third-place all-time in school history in assists (294) and steals (182). 

The Lady Warriors defeated Wilkes 58-41 on Wednesday, Jan. 27, in a Middle Atlantic Conferences crossover game. Lycoming kept its conference playoff hopes alive by defeating Albright 64-62 on Saturday, Jan. 30. Zerbee had one of two blocks with less than 10 seconds in the game to preserve the win for the Warriors.

Lycoming is back in Commonwealth Conference action on Wednesday, Feb. 3, when it travels to No. 23 Lebanon Valley College. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.

Lycoming’s sports information office will announce a Warrior of the Week throughout the 2009-10 academic year. The athletes will be featured on the homepage of the athletics Web site at athletics.lycoming.edu.
