A national title is more than enough to help senior Garrett Wesneski lay claim to his fourth career Warrior of the Week award and his third of the season. Wesneski notched a 9-7 sudden-victory win over undefeated Adarios Jones of Augustana in the 2019 NCAA Championship final at 285 pounds, completing a 28-1 season. He also beat Wartburg's Bowen Wileman, 4-2, in the semifinals, pinned RIT's Conner Calkins in 2:58 in the quarterfinals and beat Castleton's Jesse Webb by major decision, 10-0, in the first round. Wesneski, the 10th national champion in Lycoming's history, finished his two-year career at Lycoming with a 66-5 overall record, his .930 winning percentage the best in program history. Along with Saturday night's national championship, Wesneski was also a two-time Southeast Region champion and the 2018 Southeast Region Most Outstanding wrestler.
